Divya Behl

Business Development Director and Consultant

Divya brings over ten years of experience in education development, school leadership, curriculum development, adult learning, and education policy, most relevant to low and middle-income families across South Asia and Africa. Most recently, Divya co-led the learning and development team at Global Schools Forum, where she worked with the senior leadership members of over 70 education organizations that support education in developing countries.

Divya is a public policy graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Divya holds a masters in education and an undergraduate degree in STEM, prior to joining LSE in 2022.

Divya started as a Teach For India fellow in 2010 where she taught in an under-resourced public school for two years, gaining hands-on experience with the public education system in South Asia. Since then, Divya has held leadership roles in non-state social-impact education organizations such as the Akanksha Foundation, StiR Education, and Schole.  She has consulted with global organizations like Girls Who Code and Rising Academy Network.

At Global Schools Forum, Divya co-led the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) project that aimed at creating a space for a diverse range of 70 member organizations working across Asia, Africa and Latin America to adopt and adapt DEIJ principles in their respective organizations and to navigate inherent challenges in the philanthropic space in which they operate.

Divya’s knowledge and expertise in the challenges of running and supporting education programs in low and mid-income countries and her wide knowledge of public policy is specifically relevant to the JEDI work.
